And so it begins!!!

So..this is the post that was supposed to be written 7 week ago, at what was, the start of my time as a BA(Hons) Fashion Student!!! I think that just about sums up, how hectic the last few weeks have been! Fantastic but hectic!! Anyway as my first post, i suppose i should tell a little about me and why i have taken a Flutter on Fashion! Ever since i can remember i have had a love for Fashion and all things beautiful, one of my first memories of this love, was being under the age of 10 and draping my Nans old, gold, vintage curtains around myself and marching up and down her living room pretending to be on the catwalk. As a young teen in the 1990s i would spend hours watching video tapes of the Clothes Show live and the yearly Fashion Awards! At the age of 15, i had developed a ever lasting appreciation of Coco Chanel and worshiped Vogue magazine,( i still, cant bring myself to tear a picture from it)! So with all this love of fashion, when i left school, i decided to study Art and Design and gained entry to study Fashion Design at The London College of Fashion. However this was 15 yrs ago!!! So what happened??? Basicaly, I veered off course, not mature enough to deal with being alone in the big city! So here i am, 15 years later at the ripe age of 34, back where i belong!! In the time that i shelved my dream, thinking it was too late for me, i have become a mother to two fantastic children which are a credit to me and though i have tried numerous different careers, my drive for Fashion still wont leave me alone. So in September, a week before i was due to start a Degree in Nursing (as it was supposedly, the right thing to do), i woke up on monday morning and changed everything!!! Within 24 hours i had been interviewed and accepted my place to study Fashion Design at Angia Ruskin University in Cambridge declining my place to become a Nurse!!! Some people think im mad!! Some think its fantastic! I think, i have waited long enough and sometimes you just have to jump without worrying where you will land, life is too short not to take a risk, once in awhile...! So this is my Flutter on Fashion!
